I have a friend that owns one of those......all original with less then 10,000 miles. It's a cool looking car-puts you right into an 80's timewarp.

A black Gold edition, or just a 280ZX? They only made 2500 of the black gold cars, the other 500 were red and black.
I grew up around a 280ZX 5-speed NA. They were extremely reliable workhorse sports cars, and were pretty groundbreaking technologically for their time. They enjoy making tires spin.

Agreed. Here's a couple of reasons why.

Umm, Daytona. Kal Showket's Dodge Daytona to be specific.

Same difference, really. The original was a Charger Daytona. Was the reincarnation the same or were they completely different models?

Different models. The Charger of that period was based on the French Simca-sourced L-Body, (Omni, Horizon, Turismo, Rampage, etc.) while the Daytona (and the Plymough Laser) were based on the American K-Body that spawned almost every other Chrysler product in the 80's that wasn't the L-Body, RWD F-Body or the pickups.
And yes, I'm kind of proud of knowing this weird 80's car stuff.
